PMS
It is estimated that 3 out of 4 women experience some of the symptoms that are typically associated with premenstrual syndrome (PMS), including a cluster of emotional symptoms of varying severity such as feelings of sadness, tearfulness, irritability, or anger; marked anxiety, tension, fatigue, lack of energy, marked change in appetite (overeating or specific food cravings); the emotional symptoms are often accompanies by physical symptoms, such as breast tenderness or swelling, headaches, joint or muscle pain, a sensation of “bloating” and weight gain.
Studies tested the effect of krill oil or krill oil formulation in women that were diagnosed with PMS and found that supplementation with krill oil significantly relieved both emotional and physical symptoms.
