K•REAL^®krill oil is a natural complex of marine phospholipids with Omega-3's EPA and DHA, choline and astaxanthin for the dietary supplement market.

What sets K•REAL^®apart is that in krill oil, the majority of the EPA and DHA omega-3’s are bound to phospholipids. In contrast, other marine oil omega-3's like fish oil, have EPA and DHA bound to triglycerides or ethyl-esters.

Krill oil come from one of the most sustainable fisheries in the world, monitored and regulated by the CCAMLR (Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources), an organization committed to ensuring the protection of marine life in Antarctica.

CCAMLR uses a precautionary approach to prevent krill harvesting from having a negative impact on the species and the ecosystem. The harvesting is restricted to a specific region called Area 48 in the Southern ocean and the catch limit is set to 1% of the total biomass of the krill.

K•REAL^®krill is harvested by Aker BioMarine's fleet using an exclusive and proprietary eco-friendly harvesting technology to ensure that no other species are caught during the krill harvesting process.
